Uso Olive, DJ May, and Jayshawn Jordan Commit To Wyoming

You will always get breaking news first at NEI and this announcement is huge! While still on their official visit, three of the Northwest’s top prospects called us immediately after committing to the University of Wyoming. Uso Olive (6-0 300 DL Federal Way), DJ May (5-11 185 RB/DB Federal Way), and Jayshawn Jordan (5-10 180 CB O’Dea) all have made their intentions know by deciding they will play their college ball in Laramie, Wyoming.

The Cowboys have done an incredible job coming into the northwest, and getting commitments from the top athletes. Oregon’s top rated uncommitted Offensive lineman, Nathan Leddige (6-6 285 OL) from Southridge HS in Beaverton made a commitment recently as did all everything Wide Receiver Trent Sewell (6-2 200 WR) out of Bothel, Washington.

When referencing the work done with NEI and Taylor Barton Uso says, ” It was much different then I thought it was going to be, there were a lot more people then I expected and I’m just appreciative to have this opportunity”. Uso had received multiple Big Sky offers, but was eventually going to be found by a bigger school.

May was in the midst of playing video games with his new teammates when he spoke with us and said, “I just feel very fortunate to get to come to school here, and I’m looking forward to playing with some of the other top athletes from the Northwest”.

Jordan, one of the top corners in the Pacific Northwest, reiterated what the other two had to say, ” I can’t thank you guys enough, a few months back I didn’t have anything and now I’m going to play for one of the up and coming D1 football programs in the country”.

Its been great to help athletes such as these three that went through most of their high school career without an offer. We will continue to help our under the radar Northwest athletes find the best homes possible, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Wyoming and congratulate them on the job they are doing recruiting in the Northwest. “I get calls every day from schools at all levels throughout the country.” Said Taylor Barton, of NEI and Barton Football Academy.

“They know we work with all the top kids from the Northwest through our football academy, and they want to know who they should be looking at and where they should go visit. Marques Tuiasasopo of UCLA(new TE coach under Jim Mora) just called the other day and is now responsible for recruiting the Northwest. He’s coming up next week and we’re grabbing lunch to talk about all the top Juniors in the area.” Barton continued. “Those calls are coming in now from all over, so it’s great to be able to help kids get exposure and help programs land great student athletes that otherwise wouldn’t have been connected.”
