Barton Elite Event Video Breakdown ( Washington & Oregon )

BARTON ELITE EVENT (Washington): PART 1 Lineman

The lineman you see on this list are going to be the kids that the coaches love at the next level. The one thing that was very apparent all day long was that these individuals wanted to be there and get better. They are D1 level prospects, but if you don’t have the drive and work ethic it is over.

In just a few short weeks we have seen some of the best in Oregon and Washington venture out to our elite events. Here is an Outstanding Washington group that did things the right way, check the video and the breakdown as we will be back with parts 2 & 3 on Wednesday/Thursday to acknowledge all of the talented skill position athletes.

Jordan Johnson-NEI

1.Hector Ruiz 6-4 270 Jr. OL Mariner – Honorable Mention All League kid that is returning to anchor the line. Will be one of the better lineman in the State of Washington. Outstanding fundamentals with legit size, and an A+ attitude and work ethic. This kid has a huge upside.

2.Chris Coffin 6-4 285 Jr. OL Curtis- One of the Top lineman in Washington and maybe the region. Will be three year starter and 4 year Varsity kid, Army All American Nominee, Highly regarded Line Coach Matt Roth from Lakes raves about him calling him an unquestioned D1 kid..Fundamentally very sound.

3.Jerred Sonneborn 6-2 280 Jr. C/Long Snapper Gonzaga Prep- Army All American Nominee, very talented kid out of Spokane that has ideal size for a center and can also snap with the best of them. Will need to continue to work on speed and agility, but other intangibles are there; Outstanding kid

4.Raveon Houston 6-3 220 Jr. DE/OLB Cleveland- He’s raw but very talented; Played in only 3 games last season and earned second team all league honors..Transferred from Louisiana and loves the sport. Will need to work on academics otherwise will have to go JC route. Incredible potential coming off the end.

5.Macartney McQuery 6-2 310 G Bellarmine Prep- One of our favorite kids. 2nd team all league athlete that could move mountains with his legs. McQuery has the skill to play at the highest level, it will be just a matter of what school best suits him.

6.Kevin Kors 6-0 280 OL Bellarmine Prep- 1st team all league kid that is very talented, just undersized for the position. Kohrs was first team ahead of McQuery and Matt McDougal (6-3 275 Jr. OL) , two legit D1 prospects. These three could anchor a potential state championship team in 2012.

7.Dayne Herron 6-4 270 Oak Harbor- Big fans of this kid as you can see his ridiculous potential. Ranked as one of the Top 60 football players in Washington for the 2013 class and could just climb the list. Still raw but very talented.

8.Ulu Porter 6-1 220 DL/LB Graham Kapowsin- All league athlete that is extremely talented, but plays out of position. He will project as a linebacker at the next level, but will play line for the sake of the team. Potential Conference Defensive Player of the Year Candidate, outstanding kid with D1 genes ( Turi Turi- Crater, OR)

9.Khalid Muhamed 6-6 290 OL Cleveland- First team all league kid that has legit size, but will need to work on upper body strength and agility to play at the next level. Had an outstanding junior year, looks like a worker and a kid that could develop rapidly.

10.Andrey Golubovich 6-3 255 DE Bothell- Started as a sophomore on talented Bothell team that will bring back a lot of starters; Comes off the end hard and is able to get inside and create havoc as well. Very tough to start as a sophomore at this Football school
