NW Top Athlete Darrin Laufasa Lands Idaho

(Darrin Laufasa 6-2 225 Jr. RB/LB)

In what will be the first of many offers, new Bothell RB/Linebacker Darrin Laufasa (6-2 225 Jr.) got things started right this spring earning his first major offer from the University of Idaho.

Laufasa’s a kid that has battled some injuries over the last couple of seasons, but that has not taken away from his unquestioned talent. The kids just a bruiser and a football guy at heart. Darrin showed up at our NEI/Barton Football Academy elite events in the winter while still on crutches. He’s a class kid and just loves the game.

When referencing the Idaho offer Darrin says, ” Hey thanks for everything you guys have been doing at NEI, and ya it feels great to finally get that first offer and know that all your hard work has paid off”. He continued, ” I visited Idaho last week and loved it, the coaches and the atmosphere were great and they have really got some good things going on there”.

Bothell is going to be one of the top ranked teams in the state coming into next season, and Laufasa’s addition to the team puts them in an elite category. “As far as my senior year goes, it doesn’t stop here im going to keep grinding and hopefully have a year twice as good as my junior year now that im healthy”. Darrin added, ” I obviously want to win state and am looking forward to playing at Bothell this year with a special group of kids”.

We look forward to covering Darrin in 2012, and think he could be one of the most recruited kids in the entire Pacific Northwest before all is said and done.
