Isaac Dotson Offered by WSU while at NEI/Barton Elite training session.

The other night at our elite training session in Seattle, Newport's Isaac Dotson got some exciting news as Mike Leach and the Washington St Cougars extended a full ride scholarship offer. All of this happened as we were still on the field, giving us a cool opportunity to document how Dotson was feeling right after his first Pac 12 request for his services.

" My parents both went to Wazzu so it makes it extra special, and Im just extremely appreciative to have these opportunities" , Isaac says. Dotson is being recruited an as an athlete by Washington St, but he has also received offers to play QB at the division one level. As we reported earlier Montana, Montana St, and Eastern Washington all have made their intentions known.

When asked what training with Barton was like and what the most important aspects of the QB/trainee relationship have been Dotson says, "you learn things from Taylor that you can't get anywhere else, he knows aspects of the game that other people don't and is able to fine tune certain mechanics that others can't see". Isaac continued, " he won't let you just slide by if something needs to be fixed, and he makes sure you know what needs to be done if you want to get better".

When you have training sessions that include multiple #1 nationally ranked HS quarterbacks (Max Browne, Jake Heaps) it starts to make sense why everyone comes searching for Barton's services, if they are considered one of the best. Jeff Lindquist- UW Commit, Ross Bowers- Bothell #1 WA QB 2015, Conner Richardson-Kennedy, and freshman Casey Brink of Bainbridge all participated in the night session and have all benefited in many of the same ways.

Since we at NEI & Barton Football work with the top athletes in the northwest we are able to report on breaking news as it comes in first. This unique video shows Dotson minutes after getting off the phone with WSU, despite one regional source claiming all the credit for bringing breaking news to our northwest fans.

Its all about the kids and that's what matters. We look forward to bringing you additional footage over the summer of our NW athletes offers and commitments. We wish to congratulate Isaac on this big time opportunity, and will continue to be your overwhelming leader in northwest news as it comes in.
