Mattingly Offered By Notre Dame, Taylor Gets Ore St, Voeller Commits

(Danny Mattingly 6-5 230 Jr. TE/DE Mead HS)

In a very busy week on the recruiting front some of the top athletes in the northwest had some significant activity. Wednesday night I received a text from one of the top athletes in the entire country in Danny Mattingly (6-5 230 DE/TE) that read, “just got offered by Notre Dame”. The Mead standout out from Spokane has become the most recruited kid in the entire region with the likes of Oklahoma, Nebraska, and most all of the Pac 12 offering. Mattingly is a class kid who’s upside is through the roof, and we look forward to following the big man over the season as his decision draws near.

(Tatum Taylor 5-10 160 Jr.. ATH ODea HS)

Just as exciting was a call we got from ODea speedster Tatum Taylor (5-10 160 Jr. ATH) who was offered by Mike Riley and the Oregon St Beavers. Last week Taylor showed up at our event and ran a (4.21) hand time 40 yard dash on video which only made his stock elevate. Taylor said, ” Coach Riley talked to me about where they saw me fitting in to their system, and used a lot of comparisons to the Rogers brothers”. He continued, ” I really like what coach had to say and im excited to take a look at what OSU has to offer”. Taylor has been offered by Utah, Washington St, Idaho, and Wyoming on the football side of things with track providing multiple options as well.

(Evan Voeller 6-5 295 Jr. OL West Linn)

Out of Oregon we saw one of the regions top lineman commit to the Ducks in Evan Voeller (6-5 295 Jr. OL). The talented big man out of West Linn had been offered by a host of top schools from around the country, but most people knew where he was going to go once the Oregon offer came to light. NEI has Voeller ranked the #2 lineman in the entire northwest behind Brayden Kearsley and wish him nothing but the best moving forward.
