Top NW Linebacker Peyton Pelleur Lands Colorado

Peyton Pelleur (6-2 235 Jr. LB Skyline HS)

In breaking news one of the Northwest’s top linebackers, Peyton Pelleur (6-2 235 Jr. LB), of 4a State Champion Skyline got his first major offer from University of Colorado. Pelleur has been a kid that we have gotten to know over the past few months at our elite events.

The reigning conference player of the year has become a featured linebacker within the region, and is currently ranked the #2 backer in the Northwest behind Sean Constantine of Bellevue. His 153 tackles (10.9 per game) a season ago helped Skyline to another state title 2011, and it doesn’t look like they are done.

First and foremost Pelleur is an outstanding kid that is extremely humble and respectful. When asked about the offer he says, “I was kind of taken back and was at a loss for words, it was definitely a welcomed call”. He continued, ” I know its a beautiful area and they have a great tradition there so I’m very excited about it”.

Pelleur is on his way to Junior day at Washington state this weekend where they are well aware of his ability. Taylor Barton remains very high on Pelleur as a player and a person, and expects something of a snowball effect with him. UCLA is another school that could be very interested and a variety of other Pac 12 type schools have been intrigued with Pelleur.

Skyline will be scary good this season and ranked nationally lead by the Nation’s #1 Junior quarterback in (Max Browne 6-5 210 Jr. QB), one of the region’s top linebackers, and maybe the most underrated receiver on the west coast in Nic Sblendorio (6-1 190 Jr. WR).

Peyton is a prime example of a kid with legit D1 ability . Our NEI/Barton Football (Invite only) events have proved beneficial, in that we can video our top athletes competing in an environment never seen before in the the northwest.

Pelleur says, ” We talk about the camps at school and have all really benefited from the elite competition that we see there, we are all very excited and appreciative for what NEI and Barton Football has done”.

We will continue to follow Pelleur into 2012 through our camp and combine circuit, and look forward to seeing him compete at the highest level. Have a look at additional video from Pelleur at our elite events.
