6A OREGON

#1 Jesuit (3-0) @ #6 Central Catholic (1-2) – (JES 42 CC 24) One of the northwest’s best rivalries continues with the nationally ranked Crusaders destroying everyone thus far; As most know the line averages 6-5 290 across the board and AJ Glass has run wild accounting for 14 Tds in the last 3 games.. CC has lost two hard fought battles to highly ranked teams in #2 Sheldon and #4 Lake Oswego so I question how much energy they have left in the tank coming in to this week. That said CC is extremely talented and anything is possible.

North Medford (1-2) @ #2 Sheldon (3-0) – (SHEL 63 N MED 10) North Medford has good young talent, but they are still a couple years away.. Sheldon is once again one of the top teams in the NW and they will put this away by half.

#3 Aloha (3-0) @ Sunset (3-0) – (ALOHA 48 SUNSET 21) I wonder who Sunset’s D is going to be keying on? The Apollos got a good win last week over Grant, but Aloha showed that when they are in a pinch they have a guy in Thomas Tyner that can single handily change the game, Just ask Tigard and Lakeridge…Sunset has played 2 Mt Hood teams along with Grant so competition hasn’t been great.

#4 Lake Oswego (3-0) @ #10 Southridge (1-2) – (LO 27 SRDG 13) Look for Lake O’s D to put the pressure on a young offensive team, and make talented junior QB AJ Woodin beat them. The Lakers are super fast on D , and the offense has played well. The Hawks D will need to match Lake O if they want to have a chance in this game.

#7 Century (3-0) @ #5 Tigard (2-1) – (TIG 44 CENT 35) It will be one of the best games of the year, with Sam Riddle and the no Huddle Century offense going up against maybe the fastest defense in the state. The Tigers should be refreshed after a tough Aloha loss took a lot out of them last week. The question will be whether or not the Century D can stop the Tigers elite run game.

#8 Sprague (3-0) @ West Salem (2-1) – (SPR 35 W.SALEM 25) West Salem has one of the top coaching staffs in the state led by Shawn Stanley, and they have improved a great deal in the last 2 weeks. Sophomore Cade Smith has been looking good, but the Olys are for real this year led by a host of all league returning seniors.

#9 Tualatin (3-0) @ Hillsboro (0-3) – (TUAL 55 HILL 7) Tough times in Hillsboro, and the T Wolves offense is playing much better led by talented junior QB Brandon Shroyer; Both Jeff Williams and Andrew Schlottman have been ballin.

#1 Sherwood (3-0) @ St Helens (1-2) – (SHER 61 ST HEL 6) Sherwood will be on top of their game after a surprisingly tough contest against Hermiston last week..Look for the Bowmen to run every which way and have this in the bag by half.

#2 West Albany (3-0) @ Woodburn (2-1) – (W ALB 58 WOOD 7) Jake Lacoste could beat Thomas Tyner’s record if he were to play a full game here (Might not ever be beaten), but this will be over by the mid second quarter as no one has been able to contain him yet. Look for WA to roll.

Putnam (1-2) @ #3 Wilsonville (2-1) – (WILSV 42 PUT 28) This game should be exciting if Deshawn Stephens can bare down and do his thing.. The Wildcats now have their full arsenal readily available with QB/S Nick Highberger back and the trio of (Shipley, Ragin, Walsh)…This includes two big time D1 kids and Walsh who went for 254 yds on 4 touches last week.

#4 Marist (2-1) @ Marshfield (0-3) – (MARIST 70 MARSH 0) There’s a 98% chance this game will be over by half; Marist hadn’t lost a league in game in 4 years before Sherwood, and took it out on Ashland last week.. Marshfield lost 7-6 to a North Eugene team that hadn’t won in a long time. Marist WR Josh Harper has become a premier player state wide with 8 Tds thus far.

#5 Churchill (3-0) @ Ashland (1-2) – (CHUR 35 ASH 14) Churchill got their first quality win last week against a decent Eagle Point team. Ashland got blasted by Marist 47-0 as that was the halftime score..Look for Churchill to do some of the same and dominate up front.

Corvallis (2-1) @ #6 Silverton (3-0) – (SILV 35 CORV 15) Silverton is playing as well as anybody in the state, and Corvallis has beaten a couple bad teams so I don’t really think this will be to close. Sophomore QB Cole Chandler is playing very well, and look for the Foxes D to continue to lock it down.

#7 Mt View (1-2) @ McNary (1-2) – (MT VIEW 38 MCN 14) Mt View will play another 6a team, but should be able to dictate this one. McNary has players but has struggled thus far.. Mt View is coming off 2 losses to tough 6a opponents at home, and look forward to getting back to their winning ways.

Lebanon (1-2) @ #8 Crescent Valley (1-2) – (CV 46 LEB 17) CV should be looking for a big week, as I expect them to crush the Warriors after a tough and frustrating loss to West Albany..Lebanon is down a little bit this season so the Raiders should not have any trouble with them..If they do that’s a problem.

Henley (4A) (1-2) @ #9 Redmond (3-0) – (RED 44 HENL 14) Not quite sure why Redmond scheduled so many 4a opponents but the Panthers got a big win at Hood River last week, and should do well against a Henley team that has been struggling.

#10 Springfield (2-1) @ Eagle Point (2-1) – (SPRINGF 27 E PT 23) This could be one of the closest ball games of the night as the Millers will get a tough road test against a better then average 5a team. If the Millers continue with what they have been doing they should pull out a close victory. Springfield not having experience in big games, and being on the road could make this close.
