6A Top Ten

#1 Tigard (3-0) 62 @ Century (0-3) 7

The starters should be done by half as the Tigers have some extremely talented underclassmen that will continue to get valuable time.

#2 Central Catholic (3-0) 27 @ #4 Jesuit (2-1) 28

See Game of the Week Preview Right Here .

#3 Sheldon (2-1) 41 @ North Medford (2-1) 17

The Black Tornado came up with their biggest win in some time going to GP and winning last week 28-21. That said, Sheldon is a different animal and they are probably a year away from challenging the Irish.

#5 Southridge (2-1) 29 @ #6 Lake Oswego (1-2) 22

Lake Oswego plays fundamentally sound football and they will just continue to get better with a young group. Southridge will have a chance to make a statement, but it should remain close.

#7 Clackamas (3-0) 48 @ Reynolds (1-2) 17

The Cavs should go in and blast the Raiders, but they lost last season’s game 28-19 at home. Daniel Sherrell has gone off so far this year, as you could very well see him go for another 300+ on Friday.

Lincoln (1-2) 18 @ #8 Canby (1-2) 35

The Cougars record is not indicative of the team that they are, with losses to #1 WA (Camas) and OR (Tigard) teams. It will be tough for the Cardinals to handle Canby up front.

#9 Sunset (3-0) 32 @ Aloha (1-2) 21

The Apollos Metro League opener will be interesting as Aloha isn’t a bad team. This will be Junior QB Willy Pflug’s best chance at a winner with a talented senior class.

#10 West Salem (3-0) 30 @ Sprague (1-2) 28

Sprague lost everybody from a year ago, but they always show up prepared. West has a phenomenal Junior class, but they are still young. Expect Cade Smith and Keegen Hlad to make things tough on the Olympians.

5A Top Ten

St Helens (1-2) 7 @ #1 Sherwood (3-0) 65

I’m not sure if I can remember a 5A team as dominate as this one. Look for Keegan Lawrence and Mickey Schaefer to continue there 300-400 yards rushing a game.

#2 Silverton (3-0) 45 @ Corvallis (1-2) 0

The Foxes D is real, and I think it will be tough for Corvallis to get on the score board unless its against their backups. RB/LB Max Wilson is having a phenomenal year thus far going for 6 TDs and close to 200 yards per game.

Woodburn (0-3) 12 @ #3 West Albany (2-1) 54

Jake Lacoste left, Jake Lacoste right… This should be over by half.

#4 Ashland (3-0) 41 @ Churchill (1-2) 16

The Grizzlies are coming off one of their biggest wins in school history (21-7 over Marist) and the Lancers will have a tough time staying in this ball game.

Eagle Point (1-2) 19 @ #5 Springfield (2-1) 37

Springfield has been dominant the last two weeks, under the leadership of returning starting Sophomore QB Trever Watson. EP has players but they have yet to get things going.

#6 Crescent Valley (1-2) 42 @ Lebanon (0-3) 13

I continue to believe that CV is one of the better 5A teams in the state and they should just get better. Look for Tanner Sanders and the Raiders to make quick work of the Warriors.

#7 Wilsonville (3-0) 38 @ Putnam (0-3) 16

The Wildcats played great last week as Derek Sunkle continued his onslaught going for 250 on the ground and 4 Td’s. The Kingsmen have had a tough time to start the season against good teams.

Bend (0-3) 10 @ #8 Marist (1-2) 47

You better believe Frank Geske will have his kids ready to go after the teams first conference loss in school history as part of the MWL. This should be over quickly.

Lewiston, ID (2-0) 14 @ #9 Hermiston (2-1) 28

Hermiston is a good ball club, as last weeks 63-9 loss to Sherwood was more of a testament to how good the Bowmen are.

#10 Sandy (3-0) 34 @ Parkrose (2-1) 16

The Pioneers are one of the surprise teams state wide and have come out firing on all cylinders. Look for them to handle Parkrose.
